SHOPPING

Day-to-day shopping is a breeze in Burrum Heads with two local supermarkets. There is an IGA Express Supermarket, and ‘the Corner store’ offers fresh fruit and veggies and most grocery items.

Other local shops include a fresh seafood outlet, a boutique, a pharmacy, two hairdressers, a takeaway food shop and boat hire, and a post office.

In addition there are local accountants and a visiting solicitor. A doctor’s surgery is planned to open shortly.

You’ll find all of the major retailers in nearby Hervey Bay and Maryborough including Big W, Target, Woolworths, Coles and Harvey Norman.

In fact, most major retailers are in this area so you’ll want for nothing in your new Dolphin Waters home!

SCHOOLS

Dolphin Waters is the perfect family-friendly destination.

Nearby Hervey Bay is brimming with schools. Additionally, schools at Torbanlea are just a relaxed 20-minute drive away from Burrum Heads.

And the local school and public bus network is terrific!

CHILDCARE

There is a great childcare facility in nearby Howard, just 20 minutes from Burrum Heads. There is also in-home care as well as after-school and vacation care.

HOSPITALS

The area has great medical and hospital facilities, with private and public hospitals and a number of private clinics in both Hervey Bay and Maryborough. An ambulance station is located in Howard and a local medical practice will open soon in Burrum Heads.

SPORT FACILITIES

Whether you’re feeling fit or just feeling a little fat, Dolphin Waters is in the heart of a terrific sports and leisure precinct that will keep everybody happy.

Throughout Hervey Bay and Maryborough you’ll find all football codes, cricket, softball, tennis, hockey, swimming, athletics, archery, shooting, bowling and martial arts. There’s also a choice of gymnasiums in both towns.
